I have attended the conference, volunteered and worked for one of the vendors but this is the first time that I will be speaking at the conference. Here is what I will be talking about:
Homeschooling the Special Needs Child
Jennifer Cameron has 2 teen age sons with physical disabilities, life threatening allergies and other challenges. Although both boys have had some experience in the school system (both public and Catholic), most of their education has come from home schooling. The last 12 years have presented many challenges but also many rewards. In her seminar, Jennifer will share her homeschooling journey over the last 12 years. Contrary to what some well meaning folks have told her, you can successfully homeschool your children with special needs! She will share what she has learned about resources and supports available to families homeschooling children with special needs.
There are lots of workshops to choose from and so many exhibitors that I am sure to have a great shopping day too. I look forward to seeing many friends throughout the day.
