The Mystery Class is one small part of the Journey North program which is a free program available on line. The program is multifacited and would appeal to a wide range of students.
My sons have participed for several years and enjoyed the Mystery Classroom program. Every year the mystery locations are different so there are always lots of learning opportunities. Use the clues over the 11 weeks to determine the 10 mystery locations.
If the mystery classes seem daunting you might wish to explore the migration or habits of robins, frogs, grey whales, humming birds monarch butterflies, red wing blackbirds or whooping cranes.
You can also learn about phenology, sunlight and seasons, tulip test gardens and other signs of spring.
Along the way you will develop mapping skills, math skills, geography knowledge, environmental awareness, science, writing, and data collection.
