As is often the case while one son starts making some progress the other hits a stumbling block.
Our oldest is starting to walk again after 6 months in a wheelchair. It is a slow process which involves physio therapy 3 times a day. There is a lot of strength and endurance work to be done before camp in August. there's nothing like a dealine to provide motivation. Slowing he is even able to use his hands a bit more for very limited computer and writing.
Over the last week I noticed that the youngest wasn't sleeping so well. His allergies were awful. I noted that for the first time in a couple of years his asthma is acting up so he can't take big breathes without coughing. Now he is back on puffers. The allergy problems have also caused a sinus infection. It wasn't at all encouraging to have the doc listen to his chest and annouce that he "doesn't quite have pneumonia." He has gone almost 3 year without pneumonia.
Oh well we should be good at the one step forward two steps back dance by now.
