Getting sentimental

I am in the process of clearing out used curriculum and learning materials.  I'm having an indooor sale on Friday.

As I sort through the cartons of books that had been hiding in our storage room they bring back so many memories of the activities we have done over the years.  I hope the boys have some fond memories of the things we have done too.  Somethings just can't be parted with but I'll admit that I am surprised that the boys are ok parting with so much at once.  Part of the motivation for the purging was the $860 spent to buy chemistry, biology and economics curriculum for the fall.  High school curriculum is a lot more expensive than elementary grades!

I didn't think that I was a hoarder until I started pulling everything out.  My son assures me that I am not because it was all organized by age and stage.  This is true.  I did home daycare before our homeschooling adventures started so there has always been an abundance of toys to equip my 2 plus 5 more kids.  I have thinned over the years but never like this.

I'll certainly be busy getting ready for Friday.
