When Santa's Away - Premiere!

You are invited to attend the World Premier of Ken's first stage show, "When Santa's Away", which opens at Guelph Little Theatre at the end of the month. Andrew also has a part in the show.
This is the first full-length show Ken has written, and he is thrilled that GLT is putting it on.  Community theatre is about giving people a chance to do things they might not otherwise have an opportunity to do.  And the theatre has truly gotten behind him for this opportunity.  They brought in a professional playwright and dramaturge, Lindsay Price (resident playwright for Theatrefolk, a theatre group based in Crystal Beach, Ontario), first to help him develop the script and then to lead a weekend workshop with the cast to help highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the story.  It has been a marvelous experience, and he is extremely proud of the results.
The story is set at the North Pole, and as the title suggests, the Clauses have gone on a brief vacation to get rested up for Christmas.  Santa has left a young elf named Tinker in charge of things in his absence.  But he has also left a lonely little elf named Chuckles, who is feeling very out of place at the North Pole.  And it is while Santa is away that Chuckles decides that the way to prove himself to Santa is to take over the North Pole.  Tinker is tricked into going on a wild goose chase into the Land of Fairy Tales.  Along the way, we are introduced to many delightful characters from both the North Pole and the Land of Fairy Tales.
The show runs Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from Nov 26 to Dec 12.  Show times are 7:30pm on Fridays, 2:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
Tickets are $12.00 each ($5.00 for eyeGo) and can be purchased through the Box Office at 519-821-0270 or through the website www.guelphlittletheatre.com.
So bring your friends and come see what happens "When Santa's Away"!
